WHAT WE DO
We understand everyone has different goals with their fitness. Our focus is to create inclusive group classes as well as individual training options that create a fulfilling experience for everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes.
Our group class is the cornerstone of CrossFit Axon. Even in a group setting our trainers can provide you with scaling options to perfectly tailor the experience to your athletic abilities.
CrossFit is a program designed to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in a multitude of fitness domains.
You’ll be participating in group classes utilizing the following fundamental CrossFit methodologies:
- Metabolic Conditioning: Metabolic training refers to conditioning exercises intended to increase the storage and delivery of energy for any activity. - Greg Glassman, CrossFit Founder.
- Gymnastics: Gymnastics increases flexibility, balance, and coordination, as well as increases bone health while burning calories.You will learn how to control your body with dynamic and static movements.
- Weightlifting: With the use of weights and weighted objects, our athletes develop the ability to control and produce power under the guidance of certified trainers in small group settings.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Based on each individuals abilities and fitness levels, CrossFit workouts at CrossFit Axon can be adjusted in weight, intensity, and mechanics in order to provide the most beneficial hour of training for each athlete. Whether you have been to the gym all day every day for decades, new to working out, a weekend warrior or a member of the Charlotte, NC community who just wants to feel better and get healthy, our program is for you.
For approximately 60 minutes, a certified coach will guide you through warming up, followed by movement instruction and demonstration for the workout. The Coach will supervise and correct any movement performed by you during the workout.
